Charlotte made her Waterperry Opera Festival debut in August 2024 as Governess in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw and returned to the Ravenna Festival as Melanto in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas.
Following her debut as Barbarina and cover Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) for Glyndebourne as a 2022 Jerwood Young Artist she received the Miss Miriam Trevaux Award. She returned to Glyndebourne in Autumn 2023 as Zerlina in Don Giovanni.
Other operatic roles include Der Taumännchen for Opera Holland Park, Susanna (OHP Young Artist), Gretel (British Youth Opera/Silent Opera and RCM Opera), Pamina (RCM Opera Studio), and Flaminia Il mondo della luna (RCM Opera Studio).
Charlotte was recently awarded Second Prizes at both the 2024 International Handel Competition and the 2023 Innsbrucker Festwochen Antonio Cesti Competition for Baroque Singing and Fourth Prize and the Dublin Song Series Prize at the 2025Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition. She was also a finalist in the 2022 Kathleen Ferrier Awards.
Following her success at the Cesti Competition Charlotte has enjoyed collaborations with the Ravenna Festival and Verein Cordia in Italy. She returned to the Ravenna Festival in Autumn 2024 to play Belinda in Dido and Aeneas and Melanto in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria.
In the UK she has performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Snape Maltings, St Martin-in-the-Fields and made her Wigmore Hall debut as Orfeo in Handel Parnasso in festa for the London Handel Festival.
Her repertoire includes the Bach Passions and B minor mass, Handel Messiah, Haydn The Creation, Mozart Mass in C minor and Requiem, Beethoven’s ninth symphony, Rossini Petite messe solennelle and Stabat Mater, Mahler’s second and fourth symphonies, Strauss Vier Letzte Lieder, and Tippett A Child of Our Time.
As a recitalist Charlotte has performed at the Aldeburgh and Brighton Festivals, OHP’s Opera in Song series and throughout the UK including as a Philip and Dorothy Green Young Artist.
She is proud to be a Samling Artist and alumna of many other young artist programmes including Glyndebourne/Jerwood, Britten-Pears, Verbier Festival Atelier Lyrique, Opera Holland Park through which she has worked with such luminaries as Sir Thomas Allen, James Baillieu, Dame Sarah Connolly, Gerald Finley, Thomas Hampson, Sumi Jo at the Wigmore Hall, Dame Felicity Lott, Dame Ann Murray, and Thomas Quasthoff.
